Dearly — Delete your account & data

Dearly by Swapnil Tiwari (swapniltiwari775@gmail.com). You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time, in two ways.

Option 1 — Delete inside the app (instant)

• Open Dearly and sign in.
• Go to Settings → Delete account.
• Confirm. Your account and all data are erased immediately.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you've uninstalled the app or can't sign in, email swapniltiwari775@gmail.com with the subject Delete my account, sent from the Google account you used to sign in. We verify ownership via that email address and complete deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account and Google sign-in link (Firebase Authentication).
• All journal content — transcripts, edits, moods, notes, and the AI-derived people, places, topics, and feelings (Google Cloud Firestore).
• All local data on your device — the on-device database and your voice recordings.
• Temporary server-side analysis caches used to make AI retries cheaper.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Nothing is retained afterward except where the law requires it. Voice recordings never leave your device, so they are removed together with the app's local data.
